Over the course of the past few weeks, Netflix subscribers have been tossing coins to their Witchers, which had made the original series, based on the novel series from Andrzej Sapkowski, a big hit. While the second season of the show has already been greenlit, I’m sure the folks are heading into it with a lot more enthusiasm now that it’s proven to be a fan favorite.
But how close are they to actually shooting the second season? Star Henry Cavill took to Instagram to give an update.
“Hello, everybody. I’m back. I have been enjoying my Christmas break – perhaps a little too much at some points – but now it’s back to work,” Cavill said. “Pre-production will be starting very shortly on Witcher Season 2. I see that you’ve all enjoyed Season 1. Thank you very much on that.”

Cavill went on to guarantee future updates on the projects as well as more cardio video updates, because who doesn’t like to see a dude with the body of a Greek god do a workout?
After a whole season of build-up, the end of The Witcher Season 1 saw many different story threads come together, and while it may have been a bit annoying to see it end in such a way, we can rest easy knowing the rest of the story is coming very soon.
