A new promo for the eleventh season of The X-Files debuted yesterday. The video shows that Mulder and Scully are in need of help from their old boss, Agent Walter Skinner. Even though the popular investigative duo requires Skinner’s help, It appears as if they don’t trust him.

Gillian Anderson has said this is her last hurrah as Agent Scully. What that means for the show we can’t be sure. Personally, I will watch The X-Files for as long as they want to make the show, assuming it doesn’t just completely fall off the rails. As long as one member of the team is present, I think the show could survive. The much shorter seasons provide some quality control and weed out any filler. Season 10 was a triumphant return for the series in my opinion, and I will surely be tuning in for Season 11.
