This Character Is Returning For A Short Arc On Arrow

Fans of the CW’s Arrow will be glad to hear the return of a fan favorite character as Colton Haynes is set to reprise his role as the vigilante Roy Harper/Arsenal.

Though Haynes mentioned his character’s return himself back in September,  it was made official today in a statement from producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle:

“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year. Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences…”

Haynes began playing the part of Roy Harper in the first season, though the character has only been seen once since Season 4. Oliver was a hard sell on Roy at first, he took a while to come around to the idea of having a teammate.

I always liked the show better when Roy was in it. Arrow has come a long way since its debut in 2012, becoming the basis for CW’s Arrowverse that includes shows such as SupergirlThe Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
