This Iron Man Villain Is Rumored To Be Linked To Shang-Chi Film

Last night Marvel Studios top man Kevin Feige conducted an AMAA on Reddit where fans could post questions towards him about the MCU. Unfortunately for us here at LRM, our own set of questions were not selected to be answered, but he did answer a lot of other interesting questions without revealing anything too much.

One of the questions Feige was asked was,

“Without going into to details about developing projects, are there any plans to incorporate the Ten Rings from the first Iron Man, or the “real” Mandarin teased in “All Hail the King” in the future?”

To which Feige simply replied,

“Yes.”

Longtime MCU fans will remember that an actor called Trevor was pretending to be The Mandarin in Iron Man 3 before he was rumbled. However, many fans were upset that the real Mandarin didn’t show his face, and then this was later hyped up big time when Marvel released a One-Shot called All Hail The King. The One Shot had someone break into prison to grab Trevor for the real Mandarin, who wasn’t happy with Trevor for pretending to be him.

Someone else then posted a rumor/leak after this answer that Shang-Chi could possibly feature The Mandarin as the main villain. Shang-Chi, whilst not confirmed yet, is expected to be one of the movies announced this summer for 2021. It definitely has that Asian mysticism that could work with The Mandarin being the villain.

I think perhaps a few fans might be disappointed that Tony Stark will never get to face off against his arch-enemy from the comics, and that’s understandable. For me, I am just happy that they are at some point planning to use the character and it ties things all the way back to Iron Man where it was the 10 Rings terrorist group who first captured Tony.

What do you think of this news, are you happy or not that there are definite plans to use The Mandarin in the MCU? Sound off in the usual spot down below.
