Is the latest Thor set video explained? Have we seen the transformation scene of Jane Foster to Mighty Thor?
Last week I shared some recent set photos and a video from the set of Thor: Love and Thunder. The set video was especially intriguing and I had some theories on what we were seeing. You can find that full article in the related section below. However, the actual set video in question I will share again below. It shows Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster undergoing some sort of energy transfer, to me anyway. Check it again, courtesy of CreamOrScream.

My theory was that this could be the moment where Foster turns into Mighty Thor, something we know happens. I didn’t have much to go on, but it looks like I was right. Eagle eyed fans have established that this is a memorial to Odin, on the very spot the Allfather died. It was also the place where Hela shattered Mjolnir and those Mjolnir shards are a part of the memorial. Add this up with the set video above and what do you get? Fans have theorized, and I agree, that when Foster is near this memorial the shards of Mjolnir will come back together and turn her into Mighty Thor. This would also follow rumors that say Thor will use Stormbreaker and Mighty Thor will use Mjolnir in the movie.
The evidence seems to stack up here. At some point, for whatever reason, Jane Foster visits New Asgard. She is either shown, or goes to see the Odin memorial and the is transformed into Mighty Thor which brings the shards of Mjolnir back together. We also know that Foster will be undergoing treatment for Cancer before this point. It seems like the Cancer won’t be a concern as Mighty Thor, but one assumes it is not a permanent change.
This isn’t fact, it’s all theory based on what we know. However, if anyone else can think of a better example for why this is happening to Jane in front of the place where Odin does and Mjolnir was destroyed, let me know. Is this Thor set video explained, or do you need more convincing? As always, leave any thoughts you have below.
