Tom Taylor Cast As Lord Cregan Stark In House Of The Dragon Season 2 | Barside Buzz

According to the latest Westerosi Barside Buzz, Tom Taylor has been cast as Lord Cregan Stark in House of the Dragon Season 2.

According to the latest Westerosi Barside Buzz, Tom Taylor has been cast as Lord Cregan Stark in House of the Dragon Season 2. For now this is just a rumor and there has been no official announcement. Check out the social media post below.

As you can see, Taylor is very young. This has prompted some fans to declare he’s too young and fresh looking to play the Lord of Winterfell. However, bear in mind folks, at this point, Lord Cregan Stark is only 21 years old. Ergo, Taylor is the perfect age to play the character. In the mythology of creator George R. R. Martin, Cregan became Lord of Winterfell after his father’s death when he was only 13 years old.

Equally, you need to wait and see until the costume department get hold of an actor, the transformations can be pretty stark, pun intended.

House of the Dragon Season 2 production has been mostly unaffected by the WGA or SAG-AFTRA strikes. This is because despite some location shooting across Europe, House of the Dragon is mostly shot in the U.K. which has a different actors union. The main bulk of location shooting is already complete, but we’ve yet to hear filming has completely wrapped.

Was Taylor spotted on set, or this leaked casting information? Hard to say and it’s possible Cregan Stark has a smaller part in Season 2. The role will likely grow a little as the story moves on. Whilst House of the Dragon is very much focused on the Targaryen Civil War, all the other Lords of Westeros ended up on one side or another, including the North.

No spoilers here for where the story goes. I’m hyped for House of the Dragon Season 2 because Season 1 was some damn good TV. Plus, we have an actual lore ending to this story. Something we did not have with parent series Game of Thrones.

So, Tom Taylor has been cast as Lord Cregan Stark in House of the Dragon Season 2. What do you think of this latest Barside Buzz? Are you looking forward to seeing House of the Dragon Season 2? Thoughts below as always.
