A few weeks after the streaming giant releases Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman to its subscribers, it’ll be following it up with an action-filled extravaganza. Early Tuesday morning, Netflix released the first trailer for Michael Bay’s action movie 6 Underground. Click on the link above to check it out now.
The synopsis for the film, provided by IMDb, is straight forward and possibly what you would expect from a Bay adventure:
Six billionaires fake their own deaths and form an elite vigilante squad in order to take down notorious criminals.
The cast is lead by Ryan Reynolds, who appears to be the leader of this elite force. Joining him in the crew is Mélanie Laurent (Inglorious Basterds), Ben Hardy (Bohemian Rhapsody), Dave Franco (Neighbors, 21 Jump Street), Adria Arjona (True Detective, Life Of The Party), and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, 24: Legacy).
Reynolds took to his Twitter account on Tuesday to do some of his own marketing for the upcoming film. However, one could say that Reynolds’ approach is just a tad bit outdated.

Reynolds would send a following tweet, recognizing the digital aspect Netflix now commands.
“Apparently, Netflix now has a ‘digital’ arm, so you don’t have to rewind at the end. Anyway, here’s the ‘digital’ trailer for 6 Underground, A.K.A ‘How Michael Bay Stopped Worrying And Love Explosions More.’ #digital.”
6 Underground was written and produced by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the same duo behind both Deadpool and Deadpool 2. Shot primarily in Italy with additional locations including Los Angeles, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong, the budget for the film hit $150 million. This makes 6 Underground the most expensive film Netflix has ever produced.
6 Underground is slated to premiere December 13th on Netflix.
