Two Actors Confirmed To Be Cast In Andor Star Wars Series

Andor Season 2 - Don't Expect It Till 2024 Says Tony Gilroy

Over the last few days we have two actors confirmed to be cast in the Andor Star Wars series. Neither of these are particularly massive names you’ll know, so we are collating both stories together here. First off we have an actor I am familiar with, but our readers may not be. Scottish actor David Hayman, who has been on my screens a few times, confirmed recently he was cast in Andor to The Daily Record, a Scottish newspaper.

Hayman said,

“Everything was supposed to be top secret. About 500 film crew descended on Oban, and nobody was supposed to know what was happening.”

“But folk were coming up to me and asking if I was doing my Wonders of Scotland programme or Star Wars. Everybody knew what was happening. It was hilarious.”

The Record then wrote,

The actor, 74, was shooting Andor, in which he plays a key character, and pitched up in the hills behind the town last year.

We know Andor was 100% shooting in my home Nation at that time. Oh, by the way, programme is British for show, just for those on that side of the pond. As f0r Hayman having a key role, who knows? I personally can’t see it being that big a role, but they said key, not big, so we wait and see.

Secondly we have an actress I’m not familiar with. Roslaind Halstead does seem to have worked on some British TV shows previously, just not any I have watched. The information itself comes from casting website Spotlight. However, we picked up the story through our friends over at Bespin Bulletin. Halstead has appeared in Holby City, Wuthering Heights and likely a few other terrestrial TV shows which I would avoid like the plague.

We do know though that she is playing Sculdun’s Wife. Who is Sculdun, no idea? But I do secretly hope he’s played by Steven Toast (Toast of Tinseltown) so he finally gets to star in a Star Wars project. (Disclaimer,  I know Toast is a character, not a real actor. The real actor’s name is Matt Berry and he’s already been in Star Wars kinda as the voice of 8D8 in Book of Boba Fett.)

Anyway, welcome to Star Wars David Hayman and Rosalind Halstead. What do you think of these two actors confirmed to be cast in Andor? Any thoughts about the upcoming Star Wars series, leave em below.
