Beetlejuice 2 Gains Support From Brad Pitt’s Plan B Production Company

Beetlejuice 2 news as the recently announced movie sets a release date. Plus we have some cast news and Tim Burton's return to discuss.

Beetlejuice is a movie that came out days before I was born and took me to my adulthood to get to this great film. Don’t feel bad for my childhood, my adult life’s been great. Cake for breakfast? Why the hell not? This film also spawned a cartoon with the same name that lasted 4 seasons and a sh**ty video game (AVGN). Well, Warner Bros. kept trying to get a Beetlejuice 2 and now, Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company is on board for the project. It’s still too early for a script, but I’m interested in what our bio-exorcist will be up to.

Beetlejuice 2 in the works

Beetlejuice is one of Tim Burton’s amazing films. I will admit I’ve never tried the cartoon, but I loved the movie. Also, there is no way I would ever want to play the game. There were too many terrible movie-to-video game adaptations that were poorly made. I still don’t know why reboots, sequels, and spin-offs are over-saturating our screens, but Beetlejuice hasn’t been punched into our faces like other franchises have. It would be great to see more new ideas created, but I’m not mad about this one. I think if the sequel is given the love and care it deserves, it may be great. Just no one touch Back to the Future.

I’m curious what Beetlejuice 2 will bring to the franchise and if any of the original cast will return. The actors for the Sanderson sisters in Hocus Pocus will be reprising their roles for their sequel so why not the Beetlejuice sequel. Both Keaton and Winona Ryder have said they’d be on board.

What are your thoughts on a Beetlejuice 2 movie? Are you excited, pissed, or maybe just meh?
