Two Pakistani Actors Join The MCU For Ms. Marvel

Today we bring you news of potentially two Pakistani actors join the MCU. Both are set to appear in the upcoming Ms. Marvel Disney+ series. First up is Aly Khan who recently chatted with FilmEnquiry and revealed he is about to work on Ms. Marvel.

Alyy Khan: A couple of interesting things. I’m hoping to be traveling to do the Marvel gig soon. Other than that The Serpent is still on air, so do try and watch and enjoy that.

A Marvel gig? Could you tell us more?

Alyy Khan: The Ms. Marvel gig with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Oh yes, the Ms. Marvel TV series coming to Disney+. I’m really excited for it. It’s about time, I think.

Alyy Khan: Yes, it should be fun. [chuckles] I was keen to be a part of that, so let’s see what happens. Travelling to Thailand and big quarantine periods, the world is still a bit of a mess right now but fingers crossed we can move around soon.

That’s pretty clear, and who knows who Khan will be playing in the show which already has many Pakistani and Indian actors involved? However, we also have a report from TheTribune.pk that says Bollywood star Samina Ahmed is also due to appear in Ms. Marvel for Marvel Studios. As the article points out, this would be Ahmed’s first Hollywood project, but she has appeared in many, many Bollywood movies over the years.

Now, the tweet from Ahmed’s husband referenced in this report does not say Ms. Marvel directly. However the fact it is shooting in Thailand, is a Hollywood production, and given Ahmed’s ethnicity, it does not take a genius to connect Ahmed with Ms. Marvel. We already found out recently that Farhan Akhtar was set to appear in Ms. Marvel and would be shooting in Bangkok, (which is in Thailand). We therefore have one Pakistani actor confirmed and one heavily connected to Ms. Marvel. I have already seen some Pakistani Marvel fans delighted that some Pakistani actors are finally being confirmed. Kamal Khan’ s parents will be played by Indian actors, and given relations between Pakistan and India, lets just say this is welcome news for those in Pakistan.

What do you think of the news two Pakistani actors join MCU for Ms. Marvel? Is Ahmed in something else, or would it be silly to think other wise right now? As always, leave any thoughts below.
