Most showrunners aren’t afforded the gifts that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were with Game of Thrones, given the luxury of dictating the number of episodes to complete their story. I imagine HBO would have given them whatever they asked for, but what they asked for was 13 episodes to finish what was arguably the best television show of all time.

I wasn’t disappointed with where the story went, and the ending for the characters, I just didn’t care for how the story was told to me. In the video above, Jon Snow himself apologizes for Season 8. I don’t think as badly of Season 8, as is expressed in the video, I actually really like the first three episodes of the season, yes even the long night that was too dark for most. I just think it could have been so much better, and don’t understand the decision D&D made with the number of episodes.
