Apparently Vin Diesel has skills that extend beyond acting. No, I’m talking about his breakdancing (if you don’t know what I am referring to, I’d head over to YouTube after you read this article), or his love of Dungeons and Dragons, but his directorial abilities.
One of the greatest directors in the history of cinema, The Beard himself, Steven Spielberg says that Diesel not directing is a crime of cinema. Check out what Diesel had to say during an interview with The National down below.
“Speaking of Steven Spielberg, I saw him recently, and he had said to me, ‘When I wrote the role for you in Saving Private Ryan, I was obviously employing the actor, but I was also secretly championing the director in you, and you have not directed enough. That is a crime of cinema and you must get back in the directing chair. I haven’t directed enough.”

I mean this would be something like having Yoda say it’s a shame you don’t want to be a Jedi, or 007 touting your espionage skills while you refuse to be a spy. Even though he has a great presence in front of it, I guess we all need to encourage Vin Diesel to show us more of what he can do behind the camera.
