WandaVision: Elizabeth Olsen Talks Possible Setting For Series on Disney + (Contains Endgame SPOILERS]

Paul Bettany has explained how the Vision death scene in Avengers: Infinity War was improvised by Elizabeth Olsen and himself.

LRM already covered this story a little on social media when our site was down for maintenance, but I thought it a good idea to look at this piece of news from a post-Endgame point of view. As such I will be discussing SPOILERS for Avengers: Endgame in this article, so be warned!

Still with me? Ok, so Elizabeth Olsen plays Scarlet Witch in the MCU and will be playing the character again in the upcoming Disney + series WandaVision. Now, clearly, this series is going to focus on the relationship between Scarlet Witch and Vision and Olsen recently discussed a possible setting of the ’50s or a ’50s aesthetic for the show when talking with Variety. You can check it out below.

I honestly expected that since we were getting this TV show, that Vision must somehow come back in Avengers: Endgame, but of course, if you have seen the movie, you’ll know there was no sign of Vision and he was not one of the characters brought back at the end. So how the hell are they going to pull off a TV show about the pair?

Olsen’s comments about the 50’s made me think there was a possible way that Vision and Wanda ended up back in a different period of time, but clearly based on the rules we see in Endgame and the finale, that is not the case. So will Vision come back after being rebuilt by Shuri, or will this series actually focus on the pair in a previous time between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War when Vision met his death?

Neither of these possibilities would really explain a 50s setting nor a 50s aesthetic. So, I guess we will just have to wait and see what Marvel has in store for us with some of these TV shows. I always thought Loki’s show would be set in the past as well, but with Loki it could also be one of those alternate timelines where he escaped with the Tesseract,  it’s interesting to ponder over.
