Werewolf By Night Halloween Special Looking For Latino Lead | Barside Buzz

Marvel's Werewolf By Night Rumored To Be Directed By Composer Michael Giacchino | Barside Buzz

According to a report from The Wrap, a Werewolf by Night Halloween Special is looking for a Latino lead. There has been previous rumors that Marvel Studios was developing a Werewolf by Night Disney+ series. However, according to the outlet they’ve heard that casting is for the role in a Halloween Special, presumably set to air in 2022. Here is exactly what the outlet said below.

Marvel Studios is actively searching for a Latino actor to lead the cast of an as-yet untitled Halloween Special that will air on Disney+, TheWrap has exclusively learned. The studio is looking for Latino male in his 30s to star in the Halloween Special, which is eyeing to begin production in early 2022. Individuals with knowledge say the character may be based on “Werewolf by Night,” the name used by two separate Marvel characters.

If you check the related section below this is not the first time we have heard about Werewolf by Night. However, there were also rumors that the character would first appear in Moon Knight, currently still filming in Europe.

If Werewolf by Night ends up being a Halloween Special, could that mean a feature length show? That would be something Disney hasn’t done yet with Disney+. At least not with their big Star Wars and Marvel franchises. However we also know that a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will film at the same time as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However with Guardians James Gunn has already confirmed it will not be feature length on Twitter.

“It’s a television special not a movie.”

May we then presume Werewolf by Night would also be a similar kind of deal?

As for who would be best for the role? There are two variations of Werewolf by Night in the comics. Jack Russell, and Jake Gomez. Now, it’s possible Marvel could be creating both of these characters at the same time? Or, it means that perhaps instead of Jack Russell, Marvel Studios is going with the Jake Gomez option? Obviously that assumption is based on the desire for a Latino lead. With a name like Russell, one might think the ethnicity of the character less important than with a name like Gomez? Perhaps I am wrong, it’s just a guess for now.

What do you think of the idea of a Werewolf by Night Halloween Special and that they are looking for a Latino lead? Sound off below.
