What to expect from Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker From John Boyega

Disney dropped the hammer on fans today with a trailer for Epis– I mean Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Disney continues in the same confusing sort of pattern, with the trailer seeming to undo some things that happened in The Last Jedi. It appears Rey just might be a Skywalker after all, of course Kylo Ren could be the Skywalker to rise, he’s the only one we know for sure that has Skywalker blood in him.

Well FN-2187, better known as Finn, who is played by John Boyega spoke at the StarWars.com live feed interview, and gave fans hitns of what they can expect from the The Rise Of Skywalker. You can check out what he had to say below.

“The Skywalker saga is done. It felt amazing being part of this final fight. For me, after Episode 8, I wanted more clarity. I had so many questions. I am the Star Wars fan, on set, that likes to debate everything. So for me, I just wanted to see more. I wanted to know about these characters. I wanted to see them together. So I was like, c’mon JJ man, I haven’t written a drop yet but I know exactly what the fans want. They want to see everybody together. They want to see the dynamics between Rey and Kylo. They want more explanation of the [jedi] path. So let’s do it! So I’m glad JJ was on the same exact page.”

Yeah, we did want to see everyone together, and while I will also enjoy that with Rey, Finn, and Poe,  seeing the original trio togther even just once is a huge missed opportunity. And will always be something that is missing from the sequel trilogy, in my opinion.

So the Rise of Skywalker it is. How is Palpatine alive? Does this nullify Vader’s redemption in someway? LRM‘s own Cam Clark reminded us quote from the Emperor, “Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design.” Wow, Palpy is really playing the long game here.

So many questions, I’m going to have to make some sounds on Reddit and such places and see what the nerds are saying.
