The Wheel of Time series casts another long list of great actors.
It’s Wednesday, and that means the #TwitterofTime hashtag is being put to good use by the official Wheel of Time series account. In addition to doing a Twitter book club each week, they’ve slowly been unveiling a new batch of actors for hardcore fans to dissect.
First up was the character of Siuan Sanche, an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. Playing her is Sophie Okonedo, who actually has a role in the upcoming mystery film Death on the Nile.
“Her blue eyes brooked no nonsense, and her firm jaw spoke of the determination of the youngest woman ever to be chosen Amyrlin Seat.”

Next up is Min, who is set to be played by Kae Alexander. Alexander recently played the role of Leaf in Game of Thrones, so she is no stranger to fantasy.
“The sparks are trying to fill the shadow, and the shadow is trying to swallow the sparks. You are all tied together in something dangerous."

Up next is Keren and her Warder, Stepin. They are played by Clare Perkins and Peter Franzen, respectively. Franzen most recently played King Harald Finehair in Vikings.
No one has been able to “match her power in almost six hundred years,” according to descriptions.

Kate Fleetwood will be playing the role of Liandrin Guirale. Fleetwood is only just coming off shows like Brave New World and Fate: the Winx Saga.
"An Aes Sedai never lies, but the truth she speaks may not be the truth you think you hear."

So many characters. So many actors. And this only scratches the surface of the vast cast Robert Jordan created in his Wheel of Time series. As great as this is though, I really can’t wait to see just how this show is going to look. The Wheel of Time has the potential to bring a unique feel to the fantasy genre on TV, and given the wealth of content, it’s one that can go on for a long time. Given that there’s no release date outside of a blanket 2021 date. With that in mind, it could still be quite a while before we see anything.
