You folks remember the film from a decade ago District 9? The odd sort of alien science fiction film that showed us malnourished extra terrestrials living in government camps? I enjoyed the film, as many nerds did, and now thanks to Trishula Entertainment and Weta Workshop you can now return to the world of the film through a board game.
One thing about the film that I will never forget is how much the “Prawns” loved catfood. They were borderline addicts for fancy feast, which I thought was an unusual, but albeit interesting aspect to include into the film. The film can also be credited for boosting the career of Sharlto Copley.

I don’t have a lot of time to play board games anymore, though around my house we do occasionally play the Game of Thrones RISK. So, who knows, if the opportunity came up, I would give this one a go.
An official description of the game follows below.
“From Weta Workshop and Trishula Entertainment comes District 9: The Boardgame, a competitive 2-4 player game based on the classic sci-fi film. Return to District 9 and relive the film’s final three days through a whole new perspective. Lead your Faction through the alien slum in a search for the tech that will give you the edge. Salvage the most technology, take control of the district, and claim your victory!”
