Will We Finally See Frozone’s Wife In Incredibles 2?

After a fantastic May of movies, one of the bigger films to look forward to will be Incredibles 2. With the entire Paar family back for the action, along with Frozone returning as well, the film is shaping up to be another worthy entry into the Pixar portfolio. In the original film, we get to hear the voice of Frozone’s wife, but we never see her. Brad Bird, the genius behind The Incredibles recently spoke at a press conference attended by our own David Kozlowski for the upcoming film, and talked about how he and others working on the film discussed the idea of showing Frozone’s wife on screen:

“We wanted to show Honey in this movie. We didn’t end up doing it because it’s funnier as a voice. So we actually went through all the trouble of designing a character, and the design appears in the movie, but not as Frozone’s wife. We have used her design, and she is a hero. There’s not a lot of screen time for it though. The problem is that we have a lot of different things that we want the movie to be about, and the two Incredibles movies are already the longest movies at Pixar, and they are never happy about that.”

That’s kind of a bummer, however, I do agree that the bit probably works better as a voice. Super excited for Incredibles 2 over here, in my opinion, it is long overdue. Elastigirl will take the lead as the Bob, the Parr patriarch tends to matters at home. Returning cast members include Craig T. Nelson, Helen Hunt, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Incredibles return June 15.
