This week may have been packed to the brim with Thor: Ragnarok with its EW exclusives, but DC has been putting up a good fight with all the Wonder Woman coverage. Several outlets got to visit the edit bay over in London, and like they did with Justice League, DC Films and Warner Bros seems adamant on changing the narrative surrounding their shared Universe.
While they have certainly tried their hardest, it hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts. Of the three movies that currently make up the DC Extended Universe — Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Suicide Squad — none have been very well received. At best, they’ve been polarizing, and at worst, they’ve been met with heavy criticism from fans.
For better or worse, a lot of pressure is being put on Wonder Woman. Luckily for us, the movie looks pretty good, and Gal Gadot has taken to Twitter to show off a new poster in advance of the new trailer.
Take a look!
In addition to the poster, there’ve also been a couple of 15-second trailer previews. Check them out below!
We don’t know about you, but we’re getting pretty excited. The film seems to have a decent amount of heart and humor, and while I won’t join the rest of the masses in saying that’s what the other two films were missing, but there is a certain warmth here that I’m looking forward to.
The synopsis for Wonder Woman is below:
“Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.”
