Wrecking Crew Rumored For She-Hulk Series | Barside Buzz

The She-Hulk Disney+ series is currently filming right now and it seems we may have our villains for the show.  According to Lizzie Hill from The Cosmic Circus, she is claiming that The Wrecking Crew will be appearing in the Disney+ series. While Lizzie was not able to pin down which characters from The Wrecking Crew will be showing up, I think if this rumor is true that Dirk Garthwaite aka Wrecker will be the leading character.

If you’re not familiar with The Wrecking Crew, they were created by Len Wein and Sal Buscema, and first appeared in The Defenders #17 in 1974. The villainous crew originally consisted of Wrecker, Thunderball, Bulldozer, and Piledriver but have had different villains join the crew over the years. The original rowdy group became gifted with powers when Wrecker found a crowbar enchanted by Asgardian magic and he shared its gifts with his 3 chums.

Having The Wrecking Crew show up in She-Hulk is an excellent villainous group to challenge the powers of Jade Giantess aka She-Hulk. In my opinion, The Wrecking Crew should have been the main villain in the Netflix Defenders series.  It would’ve made more sense to integrate the villainous group through each of the Netflix Marvel series to then have both groups team up together and battle in the Defenders saga.

She-Hulk, starring Tatiana Maslany, is currently filming and expected to stream on Disney+ in 2022.
