Wrestling legend Booker T wants you to vote this November. The WWE 2X Hall of Famer is hosting a drive-in event called Swing Vote on Saturday October 10th in Texas City, Texas. Swing Vote takes place at the Booker T World Arena Gym 10000 Emmett F. Lowry #1152, Texas City, TX and starts at 8:00pm. Booker T, along with Sharmell Huffman’s Reality of Wrestling company have teamed up with the voter engagement group BeWoke.Vote. Their aim is to encourage and educate people on the importance of voting.

BeWoke.Vote is a nonpartisan initiative run by filmmakers Deon Taylor (The Intruder, Black And Blue) and Roxanne Avent Taylor. They said “We are so excited to collaborate with Booker T and Sharmell Huffman’s Reality of Wrestling for the upcoming Swing Vote event. Professional wrestling fans are some of the best and most passionate fans in the world. Whether they are cheering or booing their favorite ROW Stars, they always make their voices heard and we encourage this same voicing at the polls this November.”

Booker T. and Sharmell Huffman said “Deon and Roxanne, two powerhouses in the entertainment industry, have created an essential platform and have enlisted the help of some of the world’s top celebrities and newsmakers to bolster voter engagement among historically disengaged people. We are more than happy to support this cause and more importantly…BE WOKE.VOTE.”

Swing Vote will feature sponsored giveaways, free food, as well as guest speakers, and wrestling matches. For example, Reality of Wrestling Champion Ryan Davidson will defend against the former champ Abel Andrew Jackson. The event is free but limited to the first 500 cars in attendance.. Fans will be able to park around the wrestling ring and tune in to hear commentary by Booker T and Brad Gilmore.
