Some new Marvel Barside Buzz says the X-Men will get more comic accurate costumes when they appear in Avengers: Doomsday. We know production has started, but as yet we’ve not really seen any cast from the many set photos outside of some hanging about outside covered up.

However Daniel RPK on his Patreon says he’s heard the X-Men will not be donning their oft aligned black leather suits. Instead they will have more colorful, comic accurate costumes. It seems comic book fans have always wanted to see the X-Men in more comic accurate suits and Wolverine getting his for Deadpool & Wolverine was popular. I never quite understood this black leather suits, bit fetishy to me.

Given all the drone footage we’ve been getting of the closed sets, I do wonder how much of this can be keep under wraps. I think we’re definitely going to be able to confirm this rumor within the next 3/4 weeks to be true or false. It seems only a matter of time before someone glimpses what the likes of Ian McKellen is wearing under that poncho.

Some of the recent set images shared publicly seem to show an attack of some sort happening at the X-Mansion. There’s also been sets which show huge craters, seemingly made from some kind of impact. How exactly any of this relates to plot is of course unknown.

I guess we will find out soon enough if you follow the rumors. If you’re waiting till May next year? Well, we won’t share anything that really spoils the film like leaked outlines or scripts. But we will be sharing cast updates and information like this leading up to release.
