We very well may be seeing empathy winning over the members of Department X. How will they reconcile their duty to uphold laws against intimacy and connection when they themselves are beginning to feel them also? They have always walked the fine line between protecting people from themselves while doing as little harm as possible, with the exception of Moneta. Now that status quo has changed tremendously. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
