A dramatic upgrade between Xbox One and Xbox Series X teased ahead of this week’s reveal event? Read on for more details.

With the Xbox Series X and the PS5 supposed to be out later this year, we could get our first real look at some Xbox games soon. This Thursday, May 7th, will see an Xbox hosting an onlineevent. This Xbox event is set to reveal the first gameplay from the upcoming next gen console.

Now, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has whet the appetite, teasing how much more powerful the Xbox Series X is. Spencer responded to a question from a fan on social media, check it out.

This comes on the heels of an announcement by Xbox that a reveal event is coming this Thursday, 7th May.  Check it out.

Though not mentioned, it seems likely that Halo: Infinite will be showcased in this event. Halo: Infinite is the big launch day game for the Xbox Series X. Halo: Infinite will mark the 5th direct sequel to the original Halo game that launched on the original Xbox. Being a Microsoft owned IP, Halo: Infinite is expected to be something special. Fans will expect a new Halo game use the full power of the Xbox Series X. Or, at least as best as can be done at thsi early stage of the generation.Usually, games improve as a console generation goes on, and developers get used to using the new tools.

dramatic upgrade between Xbox One and Xbox Series X

There could be other surprise games in store for the big reveal event, we just have no idea what those could be. Though, you can check out some rumors around what we might see in the related section above. Whether those rumors are genuine though, remains to be seen. However, I think most fans, whether Xbox or PS5, will be tuning in to see what games look like on next gen. I am personally hoping to see some actual gameplay footage of Halo: Infinite in action.

I’ll definitley be picking up the Xbox Series X on launch. As I am a Game Pass subscriber, I will also get Halo: Infinite to play straight away. All Xbox first party games are available on Game Pass from launch day, which is pretty cool. I am therefore looking forward to seeing if Halo: Infinite (Halo 6) can live up to the hype this time around.

I guess we find out this Thursday? What do you think of Spencer’s comments on the dramatic upgrade between Xbox One and Xbox Series X? Are you tuning in to the Xbox Series X reveal this Thursday? Leave your thoughts below in the usual place.
