Yep, F9 Will See Some Of The Fast And Furious Crew In Outer Space Scenes

Well, now they have finally done it. Most of us saw this coming, but now it’s confirmed. In, F9 the Fast crew will reportedly have scenes in outer space. Series star Michelle Rodriguez recently spoke on The Jess Cagle Show. And while surprised to hear that the information had leaked, confirmed the rumor, and seemed a bit bitter it wasn’t her character that got to leave Earth’s orbit. You can check out what she had to say below.

“Nobody was supposed to know that. Oh, well, no, I’m not, I’m not, I’m not lucky enough to hit space.”

Her co-star, Ludacris, had previously hinted at this possibility. In addition to venturing out into the final frontier, the film will also see the introduction of Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) brother played by John Cena. Jakob Toretto is reportedly the most badass all-around opponent the Fast team has faced. One of Toretto’s big things has always been family. And with the upcoming film, it appears we will see that concept put to the test.

I enjoyed the early films of the series but became a much bigger fan once they became more of a vigilante crew as opposed to a team of street racers. The Fast and Furious franchise features films focusing on fantastically over-the-top action sequences. This is, of course, one reason moviegoers pack theater in droves and why the movies pull in tons of cash for the studio. The upcoming film will continue that tradition.

F9 is scheduled to hit theaters on April 2, 2021.

F9 Description

“No matter how fast you are, no one outruns their past.

Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian. But they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena, next year’s The Suicide Squad).

F9 sees the return of Justin Lin as director, who helmed the third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters of the series when it transformed into a global blockbuster. The action hurtles around the globe—from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the teeming streets of Tblisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old foes will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.”
