About a week ago actor Zachary Levi, who will playing the titular character in the next year’s Shazam!, mentioned he would like to see his character go head-to-head with both Superman and Black Adam. While speaking with Yahoo! at San Diego Comic-Con both Levi and Henry Cavill (who plays Superman in DC’s shared universe) were separately asked a similar question…

Who would win in a three-way fight between Batman, Superman, and Shazam? Here is what Cavill and Levi had to say.

“Well, if it’s three guys fighting, Batman has a chance. Because Shazam and Superman are going to focus on each other. And that’s when Batman gets all his sneaky stuff in.”

Absolutely, Batman is smart enough to know that he has a much better chance of beating one super-powered individual as opposed to two. Zachary Levi thinks he has an advantage over the Man of Steel.

“Shazam is magic. So I think we’re team Shazam.”

Shazam! may have an advantage, assuming the big screen Superman is also susceptible to magic. Cavill also mentioned it also to be taken into account that Billy Batson is likely a Superman fanboy and might not want to do battle with the Man of Steel.

“Shazam’s got magic, which is allegedly — comic book lore-wise — Superman’s weakness, or he’s at least more vulnerable to it than other things. Superman isn’t going to just be beating up Shazam. He’s not. And Shazam is basically just a big kid. So he’s not going to be beating up Superman. He’s a huge fan of Superman, for one. But Supes is seriously quick. I think it’s whoever gets the jump on the other. It’s situational.”

None of this really means anything because Batman would beat both of them, why you ask? Because he’s Batman. And yes, Batman gets prep time, he always does in any argument, the man has no super powers, let him have this one.
