Zack Snyder Had Big Plans For Cyborg

It turns out Zack Snyder had big plans for Cyborg, unfortunately, the way it all went down, he wasn’t able to fully realize his vision for the character. Actor Ray Fisher who played Cyborg in Justice League recently spoke at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey and talked about how Zach Snyder shot a ton of footage during production, possibly enough for multiple films, as well as commenting on the director’s overall vision for Cyborg.

“What] I will say is Zack had very specific plans for Cyborg, and for his trajectory. And Zack probably shot enough footage in the first film to make like two movies out of. He definitely had a whole, I believe, a trilogy in mind, with respect to Justice League. And if his vision had sort of come to fruition, Cyborg would have probably been one of, if not the most powerful, metahuman in the entire canon, in the film universe. And that’s just one of the crazy things about Zack, is that he can take someone who’s such a newcomer and evolve their powers to the point where, you know, Cyborg is like ‘S tier.'”

It’s a shame DC fans will never get to see the finished product of Snyder’s vision. While Justice League wasn’t well received by fans for the most part, perhaps opinions and feelings would have been different had Snyder been able to finish out the plan he had in mind. With the fabled “Snyder Cut” being less and less likely to actually exist, hopefully, someday Snyder will lay out the intentions he had for Justice League.
