Are there multiple Spider-Men in Spider-Man 3? You’ve all heard the rumors by now surely? That Spider-Man 3 will feature both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as alternate versions of Peter Parker. That remains to be seen, with Sony merely calling the rumor ‘unconfirmed’. Now Jimmy Kimmel Live has had the chance to pose the question to Spider-Man 3 star Zendaya. Zendaya’s response?
“Everything is very secretive,” Zendaya told Kimmel about Spider-Man 3.
Then when asked if the Homecoming and Far From Home sequel is called Spider-Man 3 because of its three Spider-Men, she said after a beat:
“I can neither confirm nor deny.”
Zendaya then told Kimmel about their “bubble Thanksgiving” and Kimmel angled for more, asking if the dinner was “with Spider-Men?”
“Yeah — I can’t say that,” Zendaya said. “You almost… that was good. That was good.”
Asked if Maguire — a known vegan — had “tofurkey” for Thanksgiving, Zendaya replied,
“I have no idea. I really don’t.”

This tells us almost nothing about the whole Spider-Men situation in all honesty. However between this and the weird Sony wording I have to assume there is some truth to these rumors. Whether details are exactly as we believe them to be is another matter though. Perhaps Garfield is in, but Maguire is not, perhaps they are both in it, but only small cameos? That would mean it would be unlikely Zendaya spent a lot of time with either actor, IF they were even there?
At some point the cat is coming out of the bag, or the spider is coming out of it’s web. The truth of the former Spidey’s rumor will out eventually, and probably long before the movie releases. Until then, I guess we can only speculate on what Zendaya’s comments may mean, or not mean?
