British comic book artist Bryan Hitch has revealed that he’s been hired to do some design work for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot. Hitch has been working in the comic book industry since the 80s, with revered runs on titles ranging from She-Hulk to The Ultimates and yes, even The Fantastic Four. He revealed that he’d been tapped to join the production by making this reference to Trank in an issue of Real Heroes, for Image Comics.
This won’t be Hitch’s first foray into motion pictures, as he also contributed some designs for J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek reboot in 2009. The director was very complementary of Hitch’s work on that film.
In related news, Bleeding Cool also affirms that Trank is still onboard to direct Fantastic Four, despite apparent rumors to the contrary.
Incidentally, that’s his artwork featured on the Fantastic Four banner at the top of this article.
