It’s been nearly three years since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild hit Nintendo Switch consoles. It had received a ton of delays, but somehow delivered even more goods than was promised. After facing potential stagnation with entries like Skyward Sword, it took the franchise back to its roots, focusing more on exploration than story beats — sometimes to a detriment.
But that hasn’t stopped fans from enjoying what the game had to offer. For the first time, we got a living and breathing Hyrule that felt as real as any of us could have ever imagined, and the enthusiasm has been unparalleled, with many fans really diving deep into those story aspects, inferring more from them than was likely initially intended.

This seems to be the case for a Korean animator, who went through the pains of creating a fully animated trailer for the game. Check it out down below!
Personally, I couldn’t be happier with this trailer. It may be a bit rough around the edges, but there was a lot of love and care that went into it, and it managed to give us a general solid sense of the world we’d only explored in 3D up until this point. Also, there’s no mistaking the almost Ghibli-like appearance of the characters, and it makes me that much hungrier for an anime film or series based on this premise.
