For me, it’s hard to believe that it’s almost been eleven years since we go the awesome Batman: Arkham Asylum from Rocksteady Studios. After that came a few other sequels and prequels that did well. The last one we got was way back in 2015 titled Batman: Arkham Knight that saw a close to that series of video games. Since then, it’s been very quiet, with just rumors here and there about what was possibly coming next.

Last Friday we got our first tease of what Rocksteady has been working on. A new Suicide Squad game that they will be previewing at the upcoming 24-hour virtual event, DC FanDome. The tease saw an “X” on the head of one of the pillars of the DC Universe, Superman. DualSHOCKERS over the weekend had posted via insider Jason Schreier that this game is different than the one that WB Montreal had canceled back in 2016. Later that year or in 2017 is when Rocksteady started theirs. While the game will be teased at DC FanDome, we shouldn’t expect anything for a while.
Some added context for today's announcement: WB Montreal was working on a Suicide Squad game until it was canceled in late 2016. At some point (end of 2016? 2017?), Rocksteady started theirs. The game will be teased at DC Fandome, but I wouldn't expect it for a while

But Schreier doesn’t believe that Suicide Squad will be the only video game announcement at DC FanDome. He believes that WB Montreal will be revealing a new Batman series. This one is said to be rumored to be based around the awesome Cout of Owls comic book series that was so elegantly done by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Last year during Batman’s 80 year celebration they seemed to have teased it with a Gotham-related emblem with the caption “Capture the Knight”. Other than that they have been very good at keeping it hush-hush.
Yeah, they were doing a Damian Wayne Batman game but then that was canceled/rebooted as well. WB Montreal's new Batman game should also be at DC Fandome

I am very hyped to see what DC video games come out of DC FanDome. I am very interested to see what they reveal about this new Suicide Squad game, hopefully, it won’t be all Harley Quinn. As far as the Batman game, I want to see what they are going to do differently from the previous games. Although if it was the same mechanics with a new story, I really wouldn’t be mad.
