Ahsoka Rumored To Feature Loth-Wolves | Barside Buzz

According to the latest Star Wars Barside Buzz, Ahsoka rumored to feature Loth-Wolves and Ahsoka may even ride one as her steed.

According to the latest Star Wars Barside Buzz, Ahsoka rumored to feature Loth-Wolves and Ahsoka may even ride one as her steed. This latest information comes from MSW who have a very good hit rate with Star Wars leaks and have been dropping some Ahsoka news recently.

Here is what the outlet says they heard from sources on Ahsoka.

‘Sources on the Ahsoka project have told me the effect is not unlike what they did with The Rise of Skywalker for the Orbaks. Since Orbaks are not real, horses had to be dressed up to play the creatures just like elephants played Banthas. The production of Ahsoka used real horses to stand in for the giant white wolf Ahsoka rides. This way the motion of the actor and the feeling of being on something living translates to screen and doesn’t require the actor to simulate movement like Ewan McGregor had to do with Eopies in some of the prequel films.’

‘Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka, wears a white cloak, rides a horse, which will stand in for a large Star Wars sized space dog. The results are supposedly pretty good. One source said there was talk of building a puppet like the wolf from The Neverending Story for the articulated head in some shots, but I never got it confirmed if they went that far with it but I think they did.’

There is also a bit more potential information that the outlet speculates could mean Kana is present in the show ‘spiritually’.

‘A source said the wolf was nicknamed “Doom.” But we know in Rebels, a wolf would appear to Ezra Bridger. The wolf was essentially an avatar of Kanan’s will in the Force. Kanan’s real name is Caleb Dume. So in a way, Kanan is in the show. From a certain point of view…If this is important or just an inside piece of minutia remains to be seen. With that we have Ezra, Sabine, Hera, Kanan in the Ahsoka series but still no word on Zeb!’

This is interesting but not unexpected given the showrunner is Dave Filoni and he does like his wolf imagery. I could totally see Ahsoka in her white robed outfit riding on a snowy Loth-Wolf who spiritually connects to Kanan. However as with all rumor, take this with a pinch of salt until some images are leaked.

Ahsoka is expected around Summer-Fall of this year with no confirmed release date yet set. Skeleton Crew appears to be Winter of this year. Therefore Ahsoka has to come some time between Mando S3 (March 1st) and Skeleton Crew. All three have been listed as coming to Disney+ in 2023.
