Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys Will Get A Third Season! Episodes For Upcoming Season Revealed

If you thought that Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys season one was rough to watch, then you’ve never read the comic book. Published between 2006 and 2008, Wildstorm’s The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson introduces us to a world where superheroes use their status and powers for their gain. It shows extreme violence and sexuality that is not commonly seen in comic books. Although the series could not be a brutal as the comic book, it is very messed up. Despite that it was still a huge hit for Amazon and a second season was greenlit right away.

Even though the second season still doesn’t even have a release date, that has not stopped the studio from thinking ahead. With that said according to The Cinema Spot are reporting that Amazon has renewed The Boys for a third season. They are also reporting that Paul Grellong has been added to the writer’s room for the third season.

8. What I Know

As of now we know that the second season of The Boys has wrapped up filming. Back in December Amazon Prime Video also released a trailer for the second season. Then in March of this year we also got our first look at Stormfront, who will be played by a female, Aya Cash. In the comic book, Stormfront is played by a male. Despite a lot of studios being delayed or shut down, it’s reported that the second season of The Boys will be able to finish production.

Along with Aya Cash, Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit will also be joining the cast. The first season included Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, and Elisabeth Shue.

Before I saw the first season of The Boys I read the series and thought that there would be no way that they could pull off the series without offending a ton of people. But it ended up being a very popular series as they did a great job of finding a good balance between what worked in the comics and what they could do on television. This is one of the few series that I am very much looking forward to this year and maybe even the next.
