Ant-Man and the Wasp- Evangeline Lilly Talks The Troubles With The Wasp Costume

With the film due out in just a few weeks, actress Evangeline Lilly, who plays the Wasp in Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp recently spoke with Yahoo! Entertainment and talked about how difficult it was for her and the film’s crew to perfect her character’s suit. Lilly Talks about the first version of the suit below.

“The first iteration of the suit completely flattened my butt. Totally intolerable. One of the iterations of the suit did not show any definition of my arms. Totally intolerable.”

Lilly continued:

“I worked long and hard for months with the team, adjusting and tweaking and adjusting and tweaking until I felt like I would not feel like a sham walking on set. And now I walk on set in that suit and I feel like a superhero, I feel like the Wasp, and I feel damn sexy.”

Superhero suits are a big deal, especially to fans. What fans sometimes neglect to consider is how the actual wearing of the suit affects the actors, it’s a balancing act between making the actor comfortable and making the suit look appealing. From what Lilly said the Wasp suit was a huge pain from the get-go, but she worked with the crew so that she may both look badass as well as feel comfortable in the suit.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens July 6
