Atlanta Season 2 Gets A Premiere Date

The second season of the popular FX show Atlanta has been given the premiere date of March 1. As seems the trend lately, the second season has its on name, Atlanta: Robbin’ Season is the title. Stephen Glover, a story editor on the show explains the meaning behind the title:

“It’s not Season 2; it’s ‘Robbin’ Season.’ Robbin’ season is the time before Christmas in Atlanta where there’s more criminal activity than normal because it’s about to be Christmas time, it’s the end of the year, there are a lot of people with gifts, there’s a lot of robberies going on because people have nice stuff at the time or trying to make money for Christmas or during that end of the year period, kind of like a vibe in Atlanta during that time.”

I recently binged the first season of the show and really enjoyed it, Glover is a true all-around talent. Glover is great at both creating and portraying realistic characters, and that is one reason why I think the show is so popular, Glover is well versed in taking real life and putting it on screen.

To be honest I didn’t expect we would get a second season so soon, with Glover being part of the anthology film, Solo: A Star Wars Story. The guy must work fast, that, or the process just comes easily to him.
