Ever since 2013’s Blackfish documentary, it changed the landscape of sea parks’ relationships with killer whales for entertainment. SewWorld, the largest marine theme park, changed its policy towards orcas after massive boycotts and decline in attendance.

Alas, the mission is not over.

In Long Gone Wild, this feature documentary reveals the brutal truth about SewWorld’s captive orcas and uncovered widespread greed and corruption in Russia and China. It exposed a high-staked Russian operation that captured orcas to sell into the Chinese marine them park industry at a price tag of $7 million per while.

The film is directed by William Neal of E! True Hollywood Story (excusive producer) and Unsolved Mysteries (writer).

LRM Online talked exclusively with director William Neal and producer Rachel Weil on their documentary. We talked about the future of the orcas, marine them parks and the call to action.

Long Gone Wild is released on VOD/Digital and DVD platforms today.
