Brooklyn 99 Reportedly Being Looked At By Several Networks

By now you’ve probably heard (and if you haven’t you can read about it in the related section from LRM‘s own Emmanuel Gomez) that Fox’s comedy cop show, Brooklyn 99, was cancelled by the network, along with Last Man on Earth and The Mick. The show might not be done just yet, a new article from The Hollywood Reporter suggests the series is being looked at by several networks including the streaming giants Hulu and Netflix, along with TBS and NBC. While nothing is official, with the four of them reportedly showing interest in the series, fans can hope the officers of the 99 will return for a sixth season.

I was surprised to learn the show had been cancelled, I had no knowledge of it being in danger. I have to say it’s a huge bummer, as I enjoy the show. Andy Samberg and the rest of the cast have taken a tired gag, funny cops, and made it entertaining again. If you ask me, Hulu seems like the most likely landing spot for the show, as the streaming service has always hosted the show, with all five seasons currently streaming.

Along with Samberg, other cast members include Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti, Jo Lo Truglio and Andre Braugher.
