The long-running SHOWTIME series, Shameless, is losing another member of its wonderful cast. Cameron Monaghan, who plays Ian Gallagher on the popular show, will be leaving the show at some point during the current season. The actor announced the news via his Instagram account. Shameless is currently in the middle of airing it’s ninth season and is one of the better American remakes of a British series.
Most fans of the show know that earlier this year, actress Emmy Rossum, who plays oldest Gallagher sibling, Fiona, is also set to leave the show. The Shameless casting news comes along with Lauren Cohan and Andrew Lincoln both leaving The Walking Dead during the ninth season, which premiered on Sunday. I hope this doesn’t start to be a trend with the actors on popular shows, the bright side is, even if it does, at least it won’t affect Game of Thrones.
