Captain Marvel Level Changes The Balance Of Power In The MCU

Get ready for everything to change come March next year when Captain Marvel hits theaters. She won’t just be another superhero in the mix. She’ll be changing things…forever. If you’re a comic book fan, you know that, despite her star-spangled-looking attire and her stronger leadership qualities, she is no Captain America. Unlike him, she has some crazy-strong out there superhuman abilities.

“She is more powerful than any character we’ve introduced thus far,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told EW. “So that alone tells you that there’s a reason Nick [Fury] hit that button at the end [of Infinity War], when he realized that they were up against something far bigger than they had ever been up against before. And having her on your side is hopefully going to change the balance of power in a way that they desperately need.”

As a result, there’s no surprise that she’ll be playing quite the important role in the impending Avengers 4, which will see the conclusion of the fight started in Avengers: Infinity War. The closing minutes of that film saw more than half of our heroes disintegrate at the hands of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet, leaving things pretty much hopeless for the universe.

More than anything, I’m interested to see how strong she is in this universe, and how it shifts the entire dynamic of the MCU as a whole.

How powerful do you think Captain Marvel will be in the film and how do you think it’ll affect the MCU? Let us know your thoughts down below!
