According to TheWrap, the characters for DC’s upcoming Birds of Prey film have been confirmed. Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain,  Renee Montoya (this spot was previously thought to be given to Lady Shiva), and of course, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The film will feature DC’s female characters and the outlet also says the villain will be a, “Batman comics villain who has never before appeared on screen.”

That could be any number of villains, so let the speculation begin.

Of course, with all things DC this lineup is subject to change, but as for now things are shaping up nicely for the film. Margot Robbie has said the film will a low budget affair (Read all about it from Jammer in the RELATED section above), which is also the rumor for Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker film. So this may very well be a new direction DC is heading in, at least for their spin-off films, though that is speculation.

Said to be, “centered around a revolving group of female heroes and villains,” the film is set to be directed by Cathy Yan from a screenplay written by Christina Hodson.
