David L. Rowell never thought his acting debut will be with a holiday romance film in Christmas In Carolina. With two Family Matters alumni actors of Darius McCrary and Kellie Shanygne Williams, it made the experience even more memorable.
The young thespian plays the romantic lead of Wesley Saxon, a cool and handsome sports executive who falls in love with a career-focused woman. He invites her to his family Christmas gathering in hopes to expand their romantic relationship.
The movie also stars Jocelyn Y. Hall (Atlanta), and Terrence Shingler (Power). Peggy Williams directed the movie from a script written by Stacie Davis.
Here’s the official synopsis:
After losing her parents in a car accident, Elle Moore, a career-driven investment banker, has given up on love and Christmas until she meets Wesley, a former NBA player and CEO of a small marketing firm. Impetuously, Wesley invites Elle home for Christmas in South Carolina with his family. With hesitation, Elle accepts and gets a much bigger present than she could ever have imagined!
