While Hugh Jackman is pretty much done with playing Wolverine, today we do get the closest thing to a Deadpool/Wolverine crossover that we may ever get. Jackman took to his Twitter account to try and deliver a special birthday message, unfortunately, he was interrupted by none other than Deadpool himself. As Hugh Jackman is trying to get out some heartfelt words from his hotel room, singing can be heard in the background, the camera then shifts to reveal the voice we hear is Deadpool, in full costume, laying on Jackman’s bed. You can check out the video below.

The two would have been an amazing team, had they ever had the chance to appear on screen together. The back-and-forth interactions between the two surely would have been legendary. This video emphasizes my idea that Deadpool should be allowed to show up anywhere, at any time, randomly. The timing simply didn’t line up for the two characters. Once Deadpool made his presence known with his first, very successful film, Jackman’s lengthy stint as Wolverine had come to an end. While it isn’t the crossover we would all have liked to see, it is likely the best we are going to get.
