In Avengers: Infinity War, many of our favorite heroes [SPOILER] did not make it out alive. In the Guardians of the Galaxy camp, only Rocket was left standing. Peter, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Mantis all faded way from existence before our very eyes. With the countdown on until Avengers 4 next May, fans are creating their own theories as to what will happen and what heroes will return to the land of the living.

It seems Dave Bautista may have let the cat out of the bag regarding Drax.

While promoting his upcoming film Hotel Artemis, Bautista revealed that his character will make a return in the future:

“I got a lot of texts saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead.’ They were really like heartbroken and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in [Avengers 4]. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.”

Bautista started his career as a headlining professional wrestler in the WWE, main eventing Wrestlemanias in the 2000s. He left the company, made an attempt as an MMA fighter before taking the steps into film. His big break was in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, where he first appeared as Drax the Destroyer. Aside from the MCU, other film credits for Bautista include Riddick, the James Bond film Spectre and Blade Runner 2049.

Time will tell if Bautista was simply saying anything to comfort friends or if he actually is returning in future MCU films.
