Disney Launches ‘Disney Celebrates America’ For Fourth of July

Disney is celebrating Independence Day with a company-wide event that spans its theme parks, cruise ships, television networks, and streaming platforms as part of its new “Disney Celebrates America” initiative.

Timed to coincide with the nation’s ongoing 250th anniversary celebration, the multi-day event brings together patriotic entertainment, live performances, special broadcasts, and exclusive park experiences designed to honor America’s history, culture, and communities.

Walt Disney World Brings Patriotic Entertainment to the Parks

Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort throughout the Fourth of July weekend can enjoy an expanded lineup of patriotic offerings across the resort.

Among the featured entertainment are performances by the Voices of Liberty and the United States Air Force Band of the West, along with the return of the popular Celebrate America! fireworks spectacular and DJ dance party. EPCOT’s nighttime presentation Luminous will also receive patriotic enhancements for the holiday.

Spaceship Earth will once again shine in red, white, and blue, while the iconic Electrical Water Pageant continues its nightly performances around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

One of the weekend’s signature moments will be a July 4 flyover by the U.S. Air Force Reserve over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, scheduled to begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. ET, weather permitting.

Disney is also extending the run of its Portraits of Courage exhibit, which honors veterans who served following the September 11 attacks. Seasonal decorations, limited-edition merchandise, themed food and beverages, and patriotic character appearances round out the celebration.

Disneyland Resort Highlights America Through Attractions and Entertainment

On the West Coast, Disneyland Resort is kicking off the holiday with the return of Soarin’ Across America at Disney California Adventure Park.

The attraction showcases some of the country’s most recognizable landscapes and landmarks, and beginning July 16, guests will be able to enhance the experience through a new National Geographic trivia game available in the Disneyland Resort mobile app.

Throughout the holiday weekend, Disneyland guests can also enjoy the return of the Celebrate America! fireworks spectacular, patriotic pre-show moments during World of Color, and an enhanced Flag Retreat Ceremony on July 4.

Additional entertainment includes performances from U.S. military bands, appearances by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in new patriotic costumes, special performances from the Dapper Dans, and a variety of themed food, beverages, merchandise, and festive décor throughout the resort.
