Disneyland’s Avengers Campus Will Be Connected To The MCU–Take Our Money Now!

The Avengers Campus in Disneyland will be so much more than just another attraction.

“It’s all connected.”

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were wise to this information years ago. First, ABC’s Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD and Agent Carter presented shows connected to the MCU. Moreover, the Netflix (and soon Disney) shows connected as well with their cinematic family. Now, that connection will continue on outside of film and television.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige explains that Avengers Campus at the Disneyland Resort is “absolutely the next progression” in the Marvel world. According to his chat with Comicbook.com, the Marvel experience at the park adopts the groundbreaking “it’s all connected” storytelling the studio prides itself on. “Going to Disneyland, that’s what we did as a family, going on these amazing rides that promised a spectacular future ahead,” states Feige. “The notion of having films that I was a part of brought to life is amazing.”

In the first interconnected project by Walt Disney Imagineering, one story is told through three different theme parks. Taking place in one of the infinite realms, guests stand alongside Earth’s mightiest heroes in an immersive land. Attractions, characters, food, and merchandise connected by an innovative narrative.

Bob Weiss, President of Walt Disney Imagineering, added to Feige’s statement:

“Take the incredible success of these movies and how those stories were told, with emotion, with action, with great characters, and imagine what an incredible gift it is for us to be able to have all that to create attractions. Imagine what an incredible responsibility it is.”

Dave Bushore, the Vice President of Franchise Creative & Marketing for Marvel Studios, hits us right in the superhero nerd feels with this: “Being able to go to that place that you’ve always dreamed of, that is an unimaginably powerful thing because you don’t have to pretend anymore.”

Just think. Come July 18th, Marvel fans of all backgrounds will experience a theme park dedicated to their favorite characters. We can stand inside Stark Industries, hold Cap’s shield, and perhaps be worthy enough to lift Mjolnir. Marvel and Disney have designed the Avengers Campus for us.

Is it July 18th yet?
