Filmmaker Mike Flanagan has been on a roll lately with his projects. Since his horror mystery Oculus, Flanagan has been providing audiences with frighteningly good entertainamnet like Ouija: Origin Of Evil, his adaptation of the Stephen King novel Gerald’s Game and his massive hit series The Haunting Of Hill House (The last two available only on Netflix). With his success, Flanagan has taken multiple upcoming projects that are sure to provide more chills and thrills, one of which he has just completed.
Flanagan took to his Facebook page to announce that production had wrapped on the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining. Check out the post below:

In Doctor Sleep, Ewan McGregor plays adult Danny Torrance, the young son of Jack and Wendy who survived his father’s psychopathic rage at the Overlook Hotel. Torrence meets a young girl with similar powers as his and tries to protect her from a cult that preys on children with powers to stay immortal. Joining McGregor in the cast is Rebecca Ferguson, Jacob Tremblay, Catherine Parker and Bruce Greenwood. Flanagan has written the script based off of a draft by Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman ( A Beautiful Mind ).
Doctor Sleep will now enter the post-production phase and is slated for release on January 24th, 2020.
