Has anyone heard the Shang-Chi Genghis Khan rumors? Maybe not, as I totally managed to miss it myself. A rumour popped up last weekend that said Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings would feature the armies of Genghis Khan. That rumor came from Murphy’s Multiverse, you’ll find the link in the source section below. I’m annoyed at myself for not covering this on Monday after it hit to be honest.
I’ll cover the details from the outlet a little further below. However, a recent casting call for Chinese archers which you can see below could actually add some weight to this recent rumor? Check out the post from Mr nobody below.

In a largely Asian cast, it’s no real surprise that Chinese archers are what is required. Oh, and by process of elimination and hints of productions beginning, we can be pretty certain this is for Shang-Chi. However, with the very little we know about the plot of Shang-Chi, would there be much need for a lot of archers? Far as we know, admittedly that not much, Shang-Chi will feel like an MCU Mortal Kombat/Enter the Dragon. Whilst that plot might not immediately signal archers, there could be some battle where the bad guys have an archery defence?

However, let’s get back to that Genghis Khan rumor. The outlet in question said that there would be some flashbacks in Shang-Chi. Flashbacks to the era of Genghis Khan. It seems entirely plausible for the ‘Legend of the Ten Rings’ to somehow involve Genghis Khan. Perhaps Khan’s military dominance was in the MCU partly aided by the Ten Rings? When you are talking about Khan you immediately associate archers. Khan’s military success was greatly influenced by his horseback archers, and archery in general. It all kinda makes sense, but as always, take it with a pinch of salt.
