One of the more interesting Marvel projects is the upcoming series Moon Knight which stars Oscar Issac. The series will follow the character that is known to many fans as “Marvel’s Batman.”
Actor Ethan Hawke, who has expressed his criticism of the genre in the past, will also be part of the series. Hawke recently spoke with The Ringer and talked about what convinced him to join the series. You can check it out below.
“A lot of it… is Oscar to me, to be honest with you. I find him to be a very exciting player in my field. I like what he’s doing with his life. He reminds me of the actors, when I first arrived at New York, that I looked up to. Oscar’s younger than me, and I like the way he carries himself, and I like the way he thinks. And in general, good things happen when you’re in the room with people that you like the way they think, right?!”
Ethan Hawke and Oscar Isaac in a TV show together? @ChrisRyan77 and @andygreenwald couldn’t be more excited for it.

Not that it’s unheard of for an actor to take on a role for the chance to work with a certain actor or director, but taking into account Hawke’s feelings on the superhero/comic book genre, it shows just how highly Hawke thinks of Oscar Isaac. I’m not overly familiar with Moon Knight. It wasn’t that long ago that I learned of the character’s existence. Sibce then I’ve read about him quite a bitm but stil have a ways to go. I do like whwat I’ve read so far and look forward to the upcoming series.
It is still not known who Hawke will play in the series, but the Moon Knight’s nemesis, known as Bushman. Though a few other options are possible such as Jack Russell and Crossfire.
You can find a synopsis for Moon Knight below.
“The action-adventure features a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters who appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography.”
