Falcon And The Winter Soldier Is Like A Six Or Eight Hour Movie Says Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie says Falcon and The Winter Soldier is like a six or eight hour movie. Read on for more details.

When it comes to some of the Marvel Disney+ shows, we really don’t know how big they will be? What I mean is, are we looking at hour long shows, or half hour long shows like The Mandalorian? So far things seem to be pointing towards hour long shows from Marvel. However will they be six episodes long or eight, we don’t even know that?

Neither it seems does Falcon and The Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie. More likely Mackie just wasn’t saying when he spoke to Variety recently. When asked about Falcon and The Winter Soldier, here is what the new Captain America said.

“Everybody who had worked on TV before was like, ‘I’ve never worked on a TV show like this.’ The way in which we were shooting, it feels exactly like we were shooting the movie cut up into the show. So instead of a two-hour movie, a six or eight-hour movie.”

Falcon and the Winter Soldier

I would say this is more evidence that Marvel shows will be hour long. However, whether they are six or eight episodes long seems to be more open. I don’t think Mackie is saying he doesn’t know if Falcon and The Winter Soldier is six or eight episodes long. My take is that Mackie is saying these Marvel shows will feel like six or eight hour movies depending on the show. So, perhaps Falcon and the Winter Soldier could be eight episodes, but WandaVision may only be six?

That’s just my take on what Mackie said and you are free to interpret his comments how you like. This does not really give is an indication of how many episodes Falcon and The Winter Soldier will have. However, we do have confirmation that ‘Marvel shows’ will feel like six to eight hour movies. I’m not going to guess at episode numbers for any shows, there is no point, we will find out soon enough. With Falcon and The Winter Soldier set to resume production soon, let’s hope it’s not too long before we see the show. My best guesstimate for Falcon and The Winter Soldier would be November for the show to start on Disney+. I’d be pleasantly surprised if Falcon and The Winter Soldier appears any earlier than that.

What do you think of Mackie’s comments that Falcon and The Winter Soldier is like a six or eight hour movie? Leave your thoughts below as always.
