Dark/Web executive producer discusses its Emmy noms.
As you may have already heard, a show produced by LRM’s Michael Nardelli has garnered seven Emmy nominations. The show is, of course, Dark/Web. The series, while an anthology series, is one with a unique twist in that it is also serialized in nature. Nardelli recently spoke with Digital Journal and talked about what it meant to get these Emmy nominations. You can check out what he had to say below.
“That felt awesome to get seven Emmy nods. I was really excited for everybody that worked on it. Everyone worked super hard on it.”
Nardelli continued talking about his desire to create stories:
“I always grew up wanting to tell stories. I was always making short films with my friends either for school or just for fun. I would write, direct, and act. I love filmmaking and storytelling, there is nothing else I would want to do. It brings me a lot of joy. I like to draw from my personal life and tell entertaining stories from that.”
Nardelli praises actors Graham Sibley and Rene Heger, who account for two of the Emmy nominations. Both being nominated in the category Outstanding Guest Performer in a Digital Drama Series.
“They were both amazing. I’ve known Rene for a long time and his wife, Emily. Graham gave his all and that was a tough shoot. The fact that both of them got nominated was really nice,”
You can find an official synopsis of the series down below.
“A programmer’s mysterious disappearance leads to the reunion of old friends and the discovery that the strange stories she left behind may hold clues to an impending technological crisis.”
